Our Mission Statement
We want to help further establish the ethical-pet product market, by encouraging production, creating demand. We sell Recyclable & Recycled; Vegan & Vegetarian; Biodegradable & Degradable; Non-tested; Non Toxic; Certified Organic & non-GM; High-Welfare; Fairly Traded & Made in the UK, Low Carbon & Sustainable pet products. We will endeavour to make finding and choosing ethical products easy, interesting and enjoyable, by providing balanced and well-researched information about the products that we sell, by becoming experts so the customer won't have to. We will work with charities, sanctuaries, companies and individuals to improve the lives of all animals and eventually hope to make ethical pet products the norm.
Ethical pets was founded and is run by Joey and Anna.
Joey was studying for a Masters in Animal Behaviour, but became ill and is now relatively housebound - Ethical Pets was really borne out of his tenacious passion for perfection. He played rugby league for GB students, is a St. Helens and Aston Villa fan and loves Star Trek, reading and eating biscuits. His favourite colour is yellow.
Anna is a jack-of-all trades but is focusing on fiction writing as a
career; Ethical Pets was shaped further by her artistic skills and bossy nature. She enjoys singing, detective stories and radio 4. Her favourite colour is orange.
Joey and Anna met at university in Bangor and have been together for five years - they hope one day to have an animal sanctuary and writers retreat in the countryside.
The web-design was done by James, a friend of the family, who has a passion for animation and plays the guitar. His favourite colour is a secret!
