Benevo Vegan Dry Cat Food

Benevo Vegan cat food contains no meat or meat-derivatives, and provides a nutritionally complete and balanced diet for your cat. Essential amino acids, such as Taurine, are provided from vegan sources. The food is flavoured naturally with seaweed and brewers yeast and also contains: a prebiotic, Spirulina and Yucca extract. Vegan cat food is low-carbon and cruelty-free: Benevo (from “Benevolent”) is a kind way to feed your cat. A complete, nutritious food: no supplementation needed. Fortified with vitamins and minerals. No artificial colours or preservatives.

The amount you need to feed your cat will vary and is dependant upon factors such as age, weight and activity level. Below is a rough guide: *price based on a 10kg bag as of September 2012.

When introducing your cat to new food, do so gradually over a few days. Ensure that there is always sufficient fresh water available for your cat.

Store in a cool, dry place.

Ingredients: Soya, wheat, maize gluten meal, corn, white rice, sunflower oil, sugar beet pulp, brewers yeast (1), yeast based palatant, linseed, seaweed (2), minerals, vitamins, fructo-oligosaccharides [prebiotic FOS] (3), spirulina (4), yucca schidigera extract (5).

Ethical good stuff:

Could do better:

• Eco-issue: does not contain organic ingredients (however added Taurine etc makes overall certification difficult)

• Trading-issue: lack of competition in ownership, import and distribution of Vegan pet foods in the UK.
